Thanks! I'm currently on a quest to watch as many gialli as humanly possible.

I have much to learn from you all.  ;)

Zarith:
I discovered or re-discovered a few Gialli recently, I though I would update my "favorite" list.

As time goes by, the holy trinity - Bava, Argento and Fulci - slowly disappear from my TOP10. It's strange...

01: THE PERFUME OF THE LADY IN BLACK (Francesco Barilli, 1974)
A little jewel from one of my favorite Italian director. Elegant and hypnotic.

02: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SOLANGE? (Massimo Dallamano, 1972)
An excellent Giallo. Strong story, strong cast, beautiful photography.

03: THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS WARDH (Sergio Martino, 1970)
One of the most entertaining Gialli. Erotic, violent, twisted. A classic, with Italy's most memorable scream queen, Edwige Fenech.

04: PROFONDO ROSSO (Dario Argento, 1975)
Argento's Masterpiece. A fascinating work of art that deserves its iconic status.

05: LA CASA DALLE FINESTRE CHI RIDONO (Pupi Avati, 1976)
La Casa is a door... to something really disturbing. A haunted movie, unforgettable.

06: ENIGMA ROSSO (Alberto Negrin, 1978)
It falls apart in the end, but the first 45 minutes are brilliant. It's intense, dark and disturbing.

07: L'ASSASSINO E COSTRETTO AD UCCIDERE ANCORA (Luigi Cozzi, 1975)
A solid thriller, dynamic and clever. Antoine Saint-John delivers a very strong performance.

08: THE GIRL WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (Mario Bava, 1963)
Its suffers from a low ambition, but I enjoy it a lot. My favorite Bava with Operazione Paura.

09: TENEBRE (Dario Argento, 1982)
Vicious, cold, insane. The ultimate Giallo. Argento's last good movie, in my opinion.

10: A BLADE IN THE DARK (Lamberto Bava, 1983)
Silly but hugely entertaining. A guilty pleasure.

WayneSmith:
Is All the Colors of the Dark considered a giallo? I like this one a lot. Furthermore, I like the Jess Franco entry Bloody Moon. Dunno why that kept with me... Or is this one not considered a giallo either? Guess it's definitely not stereotypical.

This is one boring ass giallo if you ask me: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071537/. Though I dislike many many more...

Another one I DO like, though is Le foto di Gioia by Lamberto Bava http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093043/ Nice 80's flick, and I think my favorite of this director.

A lovely movie that is not considered a giallo by everyone, I think. But actually this one and "Don't torture a duckling" are some of my favorite italian 'cult' movies. I think both are gialli, but theyre both a-typical gialli (or giallos, whatever you prefer).
