Hello there,

I'm new around here.

Has anyone seen the Synergy Entertainment Archive version of this film and would be able to talk about the picture quality etc?

There's a copy on Ebay at present for £19.99

It looks like a DVD-R, and I've seen it listed as having an English dub and/or English subtitles?

Cheers,

Bronson

Synergy are a bootleg outfit so it's highly likely it's a copy of  one of the fan made versions, it's even possible it could be a copy of the old UK VHS...

Where would be the best place to get Bloody Friday? Has it even had a (legitimate) dvd release?
I've seen a dvd-r on ioffer for a tenner, it is English dub with Greek subs.
Cheers.

Only legit one I know of is the German DVD, no English though. Not seen the Greek one though, anyone know anything about it?

The description says that it is full screen - I'm assuming it is a vhs rip. I might risk it for a tenner  :-\

Ok, thank you. Not worth £20 I think.

I ended up getting a different version, this one runs at about 92mins 32sec, has English subs & has the slaughter house inserts. Looks like there might have been even more in there originally judging by the abrupt edit. Either way it's a great film  ::) I think I might hunt down an English dub version as well, going on the comments on here, it sounds like the dubbing adds to the fun.  :-\

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure there's a fandub of the German dvd doing the rounds - I'd say this is the version to go for until a legit English friendly version is released.

What a crazy film, though... it certainly doesn't hold back in the sleaze department.

Great review, Johnny and I own the Synergy DVD and yeah, you get what you pay for (in this case, $10 USD) in quality, but I've never had any real complaints from their stuff, bootleg though they may be!

Which version did you go for Mark? I enjoyed the film on YouTube but I'm guessing at 86 minutes 49 seconds it was cut. For instance, I believe there's a scene outside the bank where members of the public are interviewed and that wasn't present. I also think it was missing a bit of gore.

Love to get my hands on an Uncut English sub or dub of this.

Cheers,

Bronson

This is a good film but if it had had a couple more action scenes it would've been a classic, but the low budget really shows in places. The machine gun fire sound fx doesn't have that brutal rat a tat tat sound the italian films have and the resoloution is rushed somewhat but it's very bloody and brutal if a little unrealistic. I mean the cop that throws himself on the hand grenade would've been blown to bits and not just have a bloody mess all over his chest..lol. Don't know what the lead actors name is but to me he looked like Al Clivers long lost brother!

My copy is widescreen but looks to be taken from a VHS source ( albeit a good one) and English dub. The guy dubbing the Cliver clone is terrible but the rest of the dubbing is fair.

My copy seems to be uncut and has the interview scene with the public. Worth checking out if you've not seen it.
