Blind Terror / See No Evil (Richard Fleischer, 1971)

I've been on a British phase recently so thought I'd dig this out again.

Mia Farrow stars as a young woman returning home having recently been blinded in a horse riding accident. After going out with her former boyfriend, she returns home completely unaware that her whole family have been murdered by a killer who is still at large.

It's an effective thriller, though quite tame and I actually think Farrow puts in a good performance at being blind. The pace quickens up for the last half hour or so although it's never too slow. I think it gets a bit ignored because of it's tameness and complete lack of any remote sleaze, as well as having an American director but overall has a distinctly British feel with the Berkshire countryside locations and well thought out Brian Clemens script.

The Sony DVD is really cheap now and a good clean print.

Inspector Tanzi:
Never seen this, I think I'll grab it at some point.

For "Blind woman in peril" Wait Until Dark is pretty good if you haven't seen it.

I've been wanting to see that for a while. The title is so familiar but I can't ever remember seeing it on TV. Typically for me, the DVD is OOP now but I found a used one for a decent price so might have to order it soon.

Thought i'd check while I was there and Blind Terror is 1p + shipping for a very good used copy. Worth every penny!  ;D

I agree, Blind Terror is ace.

demented_uk:
Fleischer was a great director, really knew how to do suspense well. He directed my favourite film noir, FOLLOW ME QUIETLY.
