Of course I have! Here's my thoughts... Cut and pasted from my very old review mind...

La Sorela Di Ursula (1978)  (Aka Ursulas Sister)

Dir. Enzo Milioni

Starring Barbara Magnolfi, Anna Zinnermann, Vanni Materassi, Marc Porel, Antinsca Nemour.

A truly awful film from Enzo Milioni starring Barbara Magnolfi as Ursula, who along with her sister, Dagmar, checks into a beautiful hotel by the sea in sunny Italy. Quicker than you can say “Plotless drivel” people start to be murdered by an unseen assailant. Ursula, being a touch neurotic due to the trauma of her fathers recent death, has a bad feeling about the hotel and some of the guests, especially the shady Fillipo (Marc Porel), drug addict boyfriend of the hotels resident cabaret star Stella Shining. Stella is also the world’s worst singer. She can’t even mime to her backing tapes competently; I’m not lying when I say that her lips hardly ever move as she performs her act. It’s pitiful. But it’s also very funny. A shambles of a film and if it weren’t for the high quota of soft-core sex scenes the whole thing would be unwatchable. Accompanied by the requisite 70’s style porn film music the sex scenes are dropped into the film at regular intervals, each one followed by a murder.

So at least you know what to expect. Sex is followed by death, which in this case is dealt out via a huge phallic ornament (See Image opposite); I think you can work out for yourselves how it’s used on the victims.

Poorly made, but with some fantastic locations, Barbara Magnolfi is quoted as saying that the only good thing about doing this film was getting to stay at the beautiful location... 'La Sorella di Ursula' features some terribly lazy work from Marc Porel. He looks like he really can’t be bothered most of the time and the fact that his character is a hopeless junkie seems to eerily mirror his then real life predicament.

Infact out of all the cast only Magnolfi looks like she’s taking the whole thing seriously and it’s no wonder she was so pissed off when she saw the final version of the film, which she now refers to as “A pile of shit and a bad choice”. She had been tricked into taking the part by Enzo Milioni who gave her a different script to the one he was filming and added all the sex scenes and altered the plot without telling her! Enzo MiIlioni, not suprisingly, went on to direct only two more films after 'La Sorella di Ursula' the most notable being 'Fuga Dalla Morte' (1989) one of the five films that Lucio Fulci 'supervised' and then went on to use excerpts of in 'Nightmare Concert'  aka 'The Cat In The Brain' (1990).

I actually had fun with this one, thought it was decent for what it was!

Stephen Grimes:
Lefteris did you manage to show this at your film festival last night?
